Learning, researching and understanding in the chemistry didactics school laboratory
The CleVerLAB student laboratory in the chemistry department focuses on learning and understanding chemistry . It is both one of the extracurricular learning spaces at RPTU on the Kaiserslautern campus and a teaching and learning laboratory for the didactics of chemistry . In cooperation with the two working groups of Associate Prof. Dr. Gabriele Hornung and Junior Prof. Dr. Johann-Nikolaus Seibert, a variety of didactically evaluated concepts can be offered. This makes it an ideal contact point for regional schools and is primarily aimed at secondary school students from grade 8 onwards. In the spirit of "research-based learning", current scientific and everyday issues are addressed and analyzed experimentally with students. As a teaching and learning laboratory, the CLeVerLAB also provides student teachers with an authentic setting for experimenting with pupils.
Below you will find our current projects in the CLeVerLAB, information about our annual Sustainability Week, information about our maker space and media lab CLeVer-Space and about a digital project DiNaPLAN in our school lab.

Please direct any questions to the respective contact persons or always to apl. Prof. Dr. Gabriele Hornung and Jun.-Prof. Dr. Johann-N. Seibert
Here we present the current student labs in the CLeVerLAB.

This is an experiment and chemistry week that we organize every year during the summer vacations. Interested pupils are cordially invited to take part in our experiments.

The CLeVer Space is our maker space for chemistry students. We have our own podcast studio, 3D printers, powerful computers and VR goggles.

In our DiNaPLAN project, we are looking at digital sustainability journalism and the role of social media in it.
