The "Day of Chemistry" is the information event of the chemistry department at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, which is aimed at interested high school students from Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. A wide range of lectures and workshops offer the opportunity to gain insights into the fascinating science and exciting degree programs related to chemistry (such as Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Chemistry with a Focus on Economics/Business Studies and Economics, Toxicology, Teaching Chemistry). Visiting lecture halls, practical rooms and laboratories at RPTU in Kaiserslautern gives you a first impression of student life.
The "Day of Chemistry" combines theory and practice in the field of chemistry and helps pupils to decide which subject to study. The various chemistry degree programs and career prospects in chemistry will be presented at information stands for student advice. There will also be further opportunities for advice on STEM subjects at RPTU.

For all students from grade 11 onwards.
The Chemistry Day will take place on October 9, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on the campus of the Rhineland-Palatinate University (RPTU) at the Chemistry Department (Building 52-54).
From the main train station you can reach the university with the city bus line 105 and line 115 direction "Universität". Get off at the bus stop "Uni Zentrum". We are happy to reserve a parking space for schools arriving by bus. Simply contact us at tagderchemie(at)rptu.de.
Accompanying teachers are cordially invited to all lectures. The workshops are intended for pupils. Teachers are welcome to visit the workshops and find out more about what is on offer.
The practical rooms and lecture halls will be announced on our website shortly before the event.
A common room with WLAN, drinks and workstations is available for accompanying teachers. The room number will be announced at the welcome or can be requested at the central information desk.
