Department of Chemistry

The future concepts in our research focus on content along the profile lines of resource efficiency and sustainable development, interactions of light, spin and matteras well as life sciences and bioanalytics in fundamentals and applications. Further information can be found on the pages of the individual research groups.

Our students of Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Chemistry with a Focus on Economics and Toxicology can already apply their growing expertise and laboratory experience to solving future issues, e.g. in health, nutrition, mobility, environmental compatibility and sustainability .

Department life is also shaped by many active groups such as the students of the student council, the forums of young (food) chemists, our alumni and the local GdCh group .
