Equality, diversity and family - key topics at RPTU
We are committed to
- the consideration of different lifestyles by taking an intersectional view of gender equality, the compatibility of family and career/studies and various dimensions of diversity
- gender equality, through (joint) measures at all levels at RPTU
- a family-friendly university and thus the opportunity to reconcile family and career/studies so that family responsibilities and professional activities can be pursued by women and men on an equal footing
- promoting individuals and groups through personnel development measures and support in career orientation, especially for female students, young female academics, female professors in the scientific field as well as managers and employees in the science support area at RPTU
- raising awareness through continuous further training, e.g. through mentoring projects, further training or keynote speeches in which gender and diversity issues are explicitly addressed, as an offer for all members at RPTU
- Preventing and combating sexualized violence and discrimination by taking into account the Istanbul Conventions and the General Equal Treatment Act, which ensures that corresponding complaints are punished
