Application and registration

The Master's degree program in Toxicology has limited admission. A maximum of 9 students are accepted per year. Accordingly, enrollment is preceded by a quality-oriented selection procedure.

I. Formal admission requirements are the general admission requirements according to the enrollment regulations of RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau as well as a completed university degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, food chemistry, medicine, (veterinary) medicine or a subject considered equivalent with a grade point average of 2.5 or better. Equivalence is determined by the examination board. The course should be at least equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.

II If the general admission requirements according to I. are fulfilled, the Examination Board determines the suitability for admission to the Master's degree program in Toxicology on the basis of the following documents, which must be enclosed with the application in German or English:

1. final degree certificate and, if applicable, further documents indicating the final grade, the duration of the degree program and the coursework completed (e.g. in the form of an academic transcript, transcript of records or corresponding certificates of achievement;

2. description of the contents of the courses listed in no. 1;

3. letter of motivation with reasons for the intended admission to the degree program and explanation of personal study goals;

4. written description of professional and personal background, with particular emphasis on practical knowledge and experience.

5. in the case of foreign applicants, proof of sufficient German language skills if the studies already completed were not conducted in German. Sufficient knowledge of the German language can be demonstrated by the "German Language Test for University Admission" (DSH) or the "Test of German as a Foreign Language" (TestDaF). These are equivalent.

6. if it is not possible to determine aptitude on the basis of the above-mentioned application documents, the applicant may be asked to attend an interview of approximately twenty minutes before the examination board or the coordinators of the degree program.

 

III. if the admission requirements according to I. are met and suitability for admission to the Master's degree program in Toxicology according to II is determined, places will be allocated in accordance with Annex 2F of the "Statutes of the RPTU University Kaiserslautern-Landau on the selection procedure in degree programs with restricted admission (Selection Statutes) of 24.11.2022".

 

The course can only be started in the winter semester:

 

The application deadline is 15.07.2025. Applications received after this date cannot be included in the selection procedure.
