Welcome to the lab of
Prof. Dr. Maria Wächtler
We are working on the design and characterization of photoactive functional hybrid materials based on colloidal semiconductor nanocrystals, e.g. quantum dots or nanorods. The investigated systems are designed with the purpose to be part of assemblies for the application in light-driven catalysis, e.g. for hydrogen generation from water, as materials for application with non-linear optical properties or for sensor applications.
Sarah is presenting our work within the TRR/CRC CataLight at ISPPCC in Ulm.
Our review on Unravelling Dynamics Involving Multiple Charge Carriers in Semiconductor Nanocrystals was just published.
Check out our new publication on charge-carrier separaton in tipped nanorods in dependence of rod length.
